Nate Thompson
Nathaniel Thompson debated in NCFCA for six years across regions and debate styles. Nate competed from the regional to the national level, won a few regional qualifiers and a national mixer, placed fifth in TP at the 2019 National Championship, created the first public national at large spreadsheet, and invented a new counter-planning strategy during his years in the league. Thinking quickly and outside the box are core to Nate’s coaching philosophy, with the goal to give students a fundamental understanding of the core principles behind debate. He is pursuing a degree in Political Philosophy from Regent University. He is a contributing author and the chief sourcebook editor for the 2022-2023 Team Policy Debate Sourcebook.
